played puzzles with G
cleaned the entire house: bathrooms, windows, vacuumed and moped with the “assistance” of two little girls.
did 3 loads of laundry, folded 2 and put 1 away
practiced violin with P
took P to a violin lesson
took P and G to the driving range
made breakfast. lunch and dinner.
cleaned up breakfast, lunch and dinner
cleared out two drawers of clothes
played with girls
read with girls
tried to teach both girls life lessons as they solved fights, problems, and crisis amongst themselves. Not the same thing as refereeing fights. I constantly try to take myself out of the middle and let them find solutions for themselves. Hard and time consuming as they learn to do this on their own.
…oh and baked a cake!
Not much right? You know what I hear on a daily basis? “Oh that’s right you’re a stay at home mom. Of course you have time!” I hear it out right and I hear it as passive aggressive comments.
I have a lot to say on this subject but for now I want to make it clear that this is insulting and rude. No I don’t have time!
Haha. It is crazy how everything takes twice the time with a child in the house. Impressive. Sometimes I think people forget that a big part of the job is taking care of your kids and they want your attention during all waking hours. My husband often gets frustrated that I am on my phone or cleaning the kitchen when he gets home. Sometimes there are not enough hours in the day
