The morning started out with P, half asleep, saying “I want a cookie” over and over again. We were all still in bed. She said she wanted a robot cookie, it was outside and she was going to get it. I woke up fast! What was she talking about? When she jumped out of bed, only the way children can do going from fully asleep to fulling awake in 30 seconds, and ran out the back I realized it must have been a dream.
She came back into bed and talked about the robot cookie she couldn’t find but she knew she left it outside. A dream for sure. It’s the first dream she’s experienced, remembered and told us about. Fascinating.
Later in the afternoon P went poo poo in the potty on her own for the first time EVER!. I didn’t coach her. She was in her room playing with her toys when I heard her run across the hallway saying “I have to pee pee in potty RIGHT NOW!”. A minute later she came out so happy and proud of herself telling me she poo pooed in the toilet!!! I too, was elated to hear and see this news. She was sooo proud of herself.
We went out for gelato to celebrate! Another first. She’s never had it before. Then we went to Target to run off the sugar high.
