Because I’ve been feeling so stressed with my dad’s illness I decided it was time to get back into yoga. Before P was born I went regularly, 3-4 times a week. While I was pregnant with her I went daily. It really does my body so much good and I’ve missed it terribly.
I belonged to Yoga Works when we lived on the Westside (of LA). Since moving to the valley I haven’t been excited about any studio close to home. Last week, I looked on Yoga Work’s website and found that they have a studio in West Lake Village (20 min drive from us) and that they offered kid yoga classes and had childcare. It all sounded great but I still needed to check out the place and the people taking care of the kids.
To my surprise the studio is beautiful and enormous! The kid’s area is so delightful with a play area, crafts area and a mini yoga studio. The women I’ve met, so far, who watch the kids are all lovely. Last week I went to two classes. I loved the classes but more important, P loved going and playing.
I am in heaven. I now get to get back in shape without feeling guilty of short changing P. And, when I get pregnant again I’ll be able to take regular classes throughout the pregnancy. Oh yippie! I look forward to going back again when we return to LA.
