Air quality has been terrible since Thursday. California is on fire. Wildfires have exploded in the last 24hrs and we’re smelling and seeing it in our part of the valley. Staying inside is a bit hard for us because we spend so much of our day swimming, hiking, or just plain running outside. I’m improvising with our activities.
We bought P a cardboard playhouse at Costco not too long ago thinking we’d use it during the cold, rainy months. It’s September. It’s hot and smokey and we’re pulling it out! It wasn’t as big of a hit as I had hopped. But getting mail through the mail slot was a HUGE hit!
You know all those return envelopes you get with your bills? Keep them! I drew mail for P and Winnie the Pooh. Inside each envelope I placed a drawing. Because the envelopes have the address windows they crinkle like “adult” mail…the mail mamma and pappa get (bills), not the Playboy that comes wrapped in plastic. P was so excited to get mailed delivered to her house!
The cutest thing was watching her show Pooh his mail and then teaching him to write a letter back!!!
